Business Launchpad (formerly known as Wandsworth Youth Enterprise Centre) has helped thousands of young entrepreneurs to set-up and run their own businesses. Originally established in Wandsworth in the early 1980s, due to high rates of unemployment following the recession, Business Launchpad’s services are as relevant and in demand now as they were earlier. Business Launchpad (BLP) empowers young people aged 18–30 from low-income backgrounds across London to build enterprising careers and achieve financial progress. Through tailored programmes, one-to-one coaching, and real-world employability experiences, BLP helps young people develop both business and life skills to thrive. This mission is powered by Tooting Works, BLP’s social enterprise arm, which provides affordable workspaces and a vibrant community hub. Profits from Tooting Works are reinvested directly into BLP’s charitable work, creating a sustainable ecosystem where enterprise fuels opportunity and social impact.
