Victory... Forged by Test! Where it all begins, the center of the aerospace testing universe. We plan and execute developmental test and evaluation of advanced aerospace systems – with world-class installation and mission support – to sharpen American airpower for the warfighter. Home of the world's largest runway, the 412th Test Wing at Edwards plans, conducts, analyzes, and reports on all flight and ground testing of aircraft, weapons systems, software and components as well as modeling and simulation for the U.S. Air Force. There are three core components for this mission: flying operations, maintenance and engineering. A team of over 11,000 consisting of active duty, federal civilian and contractor support works shoulder-to-shoulder to execute this mission at Edwards Air Force Base, USAF Plant 42, and deployed detachments across the globe.

The United States Forest Service is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture that administers the nation's 154 national forests and 20 national grasslands, which encompass 193 million acres (780,000 km2). Major divisions of the agency include the National Forest System, State and Private Forestry, and the Research and Development branch. The mission of the Forest Service is "To sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the Nation’s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations." Its motto is "Caring for the land and serving people." As the lead Federal agency in natural resource conservation, the US Forest Service provides leadership in the protection, management, and use of the Nation’s forest, rangeland, and aquatic ecosystems. The agency's ecosystem approach to management integrates ecological, economic, and social factors to maintain and enhance the quality of the environment to meet current and future needs. Through implementation of land and resource management plans, the agency ensures sustainable ecosystems by restoring and maintaining species diversity and ecological productivity that helps provide recreation, water, timber, minerals, fish, wildlife, wilderness, and aesthetic values for current and future generations of people.

The State Personnel Office is responsible for the administration and oversight of the classified service personnel system which consists of approximately 18,000 state employees from approximately 68 executive state agencies, boards and commissions. A comprehensive system of human resource management is achieved through the integration of five functional areas which are administered by the State Personnel Director with oversight by a five-member State Personnel Board. The primary responsibility of the Career Services Bureau is to ensure compliance with the State Personnel Act and the State Personnel Board (SPB) Rules which require the “certification of the highest standing candidates to prospective employers (10-9-13 F.).” Since November 2011, the State Personnel Office (SPO) has utilized the NEOGOV application system for management of recruitment for all classified positions.
