Breasley Pillows Ltd was founded in 1973 by joint partners Alan Crowshaw and Peter Walker. Initially making pillows, they went on to build one of the most successful foam conversion companies in the UK. In 2005, the mattress division was formed and Breasley became one of the first companies to launch a range of vacuum-packed mattresses to be manufactured in Britain. The growth was rapid and Breasley was soon established as the market leader. Renowned for innovation, the company remains one of the UK’s leading producers of rolled and boxed mattresses. Alongside the successful Uno range, which is sold to independent retail partners throughout the UK, the company is also very experienced in producing own-label mattress ranges, often to a bespoke specification, for customers both in the UK and overseas. Breasley’s premium non-vacuum packed Salus brand, which was launched in 2009, has evolved into a wide-ranging collection of high quality mattresses, divans, headboards and fabrics. In 2018 Breasley won an Interiors Monthly Award for value and in 2019 it was awarded the AIS Gold Standard Award, as voted for by its members. In 2020 Breasley completed a restructure of its mattress and bedding division and began to trade under the new name of Breasley (UK) Ltd.
