BPhil Union Information

The UWA Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) Union (BPhil Union) is the peak representative body for almost 200 of the most talented undergraduate students at the University of Western Australia. Our mission is to ensure that the university experience of all BPhil students is as enriching and fulfilling as possible. We work to provide an active member base with wider opportunities that suit their interests, and support them in building strong social and professional networks. Since our establishment in December 2012, BPhil Union has been running an increasing number of educational, social and networking events while steadily expanding membership. The Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) Degree is the premier undergraduate degree at the University of Western Australia. The degree was created to increase the University’s appeal to outstanding students from all over the world and further its reputation for academic excellence. BPhil students are given the freedom to undertake intensive studies in any discipline area of their choosing, resulting in exceptional achievement across a diversity of academic backgrounds. Ultimately, the degree shapes students to be global citizens possessing outstanding academic ability and high-level research and communication skills, preparing them to be future pioneers in their chosen fields.
