BotsKC is a manufacturing workforce development program supported by Greater Kansas City area manufacturers. BotsKC students design and build 15-pound remote controlled robots to face-off in gladiator-style competitions. Through the manufacturing process of bot building, students’ imaginations are captured as they design, build, and compete their own robotic creations. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and real world learning combine during all phases of building to support essential manufacturing skills. BotsKC is also an avenue for manufacturers to build valuable industry to school connections. Helping BotsKC teams engineer lean, mean, fighting machines builds a talented workforce pipeline for employers. In other words, everybody wins!
