Boardlink Information

Boardlink Limited was a privately owned manufacturing company that formerly traded as Hawarden Sheeters, Deva Board & Display, Paperboard Products, Wipe-up-Wipers and Claygate Specialty Films. It strategically consolidated Group interests into one trading company in 2016. Its primary activities included carton board sales, conversion and lamination. Additionally it became the the largest carton board press forming manufacturer of paper plates and dual-ovenable board trays in the UK, as well as manufacturing a wide range of catering and janitorial wipes and wiper cloths. Manufacturing took place at a ISO, BRC and FSC accredited facility just outside of Chester in Hawarden, North Wales. Following a strategic change in direction by a major global supply partner of 55 years, the business lost access to its primary supply source. After reviewing alternative operating models and market options, the Board concluded that continuation would create significant liabilities without a viable route to recovery. The company was therefore placed into administration while solvent with the aim of protecting creditors and stakeholders.
