Blinklab Information

Blinklab is a San Francisco based Post-Production studio founded by Alex Katz. Alex first became hooked on imagery in high school. It was during black and white printing class that he became addicted to dim, moody lighting, intoxicating fumes, and most of all that magic moment when the composition would appear. Over time, HC-110 developer gave way to Durst enlargers, shiny ciba-chromes, and later a putty colored Mac with Photoshop 2.0. Eventually Photoshop grew layers and many, many Command Z's later Blinklab was sprung. In 2004, a space was found, the team took shape, El Tonayense put, not one, but two taco trucks a short walk away, and things just started to click. Since then, there have been many projects, both large and small...some award winning and others easily forgettable. But throughout the process one thing has remained constant -- Blinklab has maintained meticulous attention to detail and a relentless passion for creating striking images.
