Natuurmonumenten is de vereniging voor mensen met hart voor de natuur. Wij geven de natuur in Nederland de ruimte. We beschermen natuurgebieden, waardevolle landschappen en cultureel erfgoed. Zo blijft onze natuur behouden en kunnen we hier met zijn allen nog eeuwenlang van blijven genieten. We are Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Through our impressive collection, knowledge and data, we record all life on Earth. This is important, as our future depends on biodiversity. Everything in nature is connected, and balance is vitally important for its continued existence. Naturalis has a passion for nature. We research nature in order to preserve biodiversity. This is how we contribute to solutions for major, global issues involving climate, living environment, food supply and medicine. The Bee Conservancy, formerly The Honeybee Conservancy, is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting bees, safeguarding the environment, and securing food justice through education, research, habitat creation, and advocacy. We are a project of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs, and strive towards a day when all bee populations thrive in protected habitats, and are supported by an engaged global network. Bees lie at the heart of the world’s survival. They pollinate 1 in 3 bites of food we eat and are essential to the health and prosperity of countless ecosystems. For this reason, scientists consider them a keystone species. However, bees are in peril. According to the Center for Biological Diversity, more than half of North America’s 4,000 native bee species alone are in decline, with 1 in 4 species at risk of extinction. The Honeybee Conservancy works with top brands and organizations to create innovative programming and strategic partnerships that advance shared goals for a sustainable future.
