Inter Continental is a Dutch company which started selling chemical products in Russia, Poland, and former East Germany and Czechoslovakia in 1969. In 1983 coatings, cleaning materials and disinfectants were added to the range. In 1985 the company expanded its activities again to include slurry removal and processing systems for the livestock sector. Together with emission reducing systems for ammonia and fine dust this has become a major sphere of activity since the European launch of the IC-V+ ® system. Inter Continental stands for innovation, particularly where ammonia and fine dust reduction are concerned. We were awarded the VIV Europe Gold Award for the IC-V+ ® system. Our system was characterised as an energy efficient, environmentally friendly housing system that also contributes to improving animal welfare. A logical result was the IC-W+ system with plastic slurry trays and the unique StevIC ® ventilation wall. This combination results in a 65% reduction in ammonia emissions. In the animal husbandry sector, Inter Continental is the trend setter regarding fine dust particle reduction in animal houses, with two officially authorised admission numbers from the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (VROM). One for the IC-oilIC, a green oil misting system (Admission number: BWL2009.17) and one for the IC-ionIC EPI-system (Admission number: BWL2009.18) for fine dust reduction through corona point ionisation.
