In 1933, Clarence Becker opened the first Becker Shoes store in downtown Hanover, Ontario. Taking the time to get to know each customer and their family personally, made his business a success and a cornerstone of the community. His son Earl continued the tradition of personal service and selection and expanded the business with a second store in Collingwood, Ontario. The growth continued throughout the 90's and into the new millennium, when grandson Doug Becker took over the business.
