Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Follow our page to stay up to date on the latest Big Brothers Big Sisters news. We'll also include regular updates and links that will help to demonstrate the true value of mentoring and the positive impact that it can have on the life of a child or young person.
We accomplish our mission by partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community, and we hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving:
- Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships;
- Avoidance of risky behaviors; and
- Educational success.
The Prince’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed. We help young people aged 11-30 develop the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.
The youth charity was founded by His Majesty The King in 1976 when he was HRH The Prince Of Wales. Since then it has helped more than 1,000,000 young people.
Three in four young people on Prince’s Trust courses move into work, education or training.
If you're a young person, or want to enquire on behalf of a young person, call us free on 0800 842 842 or Live Chat here > www.princes-trust.org.uk.
We're open from 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri.
We are a UK-wide charity at the heart of a network of employers and educators who all believe that every young person, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding future. In a society where the odds are stacked against young people, we inspire employers to trust, nurture and believe in young talent.
Since 2002, we’ve connected 150,000 young people with employers and volunteers in the world of work. We’ve been able to do this through our UK-wide network of employers, volunteers, schools, and colleges. Together, we transform young lives, boost social mobility, and give undiscovered talent a platform from on which to flourish.
Despite our success so far, our journey doesn’t end here. We want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to develop and showcase their talents whilst adding value to businesses in all sizes and sectors.
But we need your support to make this possible.
Whether you’re a small or large employer, volunteer, alumni or a fundraiser, we can all play a part in boosting social mobility and empowering young people: https://careerready.org.uk/
