KOKE-FM is Austin's home for Texas country and the University of Texas Longhorn Athletics partner. KOKE-FM was revered as one of Central Texas' most innovative stations in the country according to a 1974 Billboard magazine article. The call-letters were brought back to life in 2012 as a locally owned & operated country alternative. KOKE-FM has grown from one station and one frequency, to simulcasting on two frequencies, expanding our signal to homes through the Hill Country and beyond. The original KOKE-FM played a role in the careers of the "outlaws". Waylon, Willie and the boys lead the way with KOKE-FM to help promote some of the most iconic singer/songwriters of the time.
