Athens Makerspace Information

Athens Makerspace is a young non profit organisation, founded in March 2016. It's a co-working space that provides public access to a variety of tools and equipment in both traditional and digital technologies such as 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, sewing, electronics, cnc and many more. It is a place for those who love craftsmanship, to network and turn their ideas into reality. The growing community of Athens Makerspace, the makers, the designers, the instructors, the creators are the ones embodying the goals of our organisation. We are a very education focused makerspace developing a wide range of classes and project-based workshops, while raising awareness on how to embrace the emerging DIY community and the Maker Movement. Our vision is that “Every person, of every age, must have access to the tools and knowledge they need to implement their ideas”. We associate ourselves with the ideas of sustainable design, innovation and fabrication.
