ART MATTERS TO ADULTS who create art and need a place where their art can be displayed and appreciated. Art Matters Community Art Studio is an inclusive art gallery that seeks to identify and promote established artists in our community as well as those who are not as well known and whose work has not yet been recognized. Art Matters charges no commission on art sales, in an effort to support local artists. Art Matters is a member of The BG Gallery Hop. BG Gallery Hop events are free to the public, provide refreshments and keep visitors up to date with with what is happening in the art community. Giving the unique gift of original art supports the local economy and can be a sound investment over time. Artists interested in exhibiting at Art Matters may call for an appointment. Please bring a portfolio with a body of work. Exhibits are scheduled approximately one year in advance. ART that REALLY MATTERS: Each summer, Art Matters invites young artists to do something a bit different forSummer Art Camps. In keeping with our mission statement to "teach tolerance and promote peace through exploration of art across cultures and eras," some of our half-day summer sessions are paired with a worthy cause to which Art Matters donates 10% of all revenue. Art Matters will continue to provide art experiences in which children can not only create art and learn about art, they can also connect art to real life issues that young people care about.
