Melbourne Women's Fund
Melbourne Women’s Fund is a Giving Circle that engages people in philanthropy to benefit vulnerable women and families in Melbourne. Members contribute their financial, intellectual, professional and personal resources to support non-profit organisations working to create equitable outcomes and community uplift. Our members vote annually to decide which organisations receive grants from the funding pool we have accumulated by the end of the financial year. Together, we make a stronger impact than as individual donors. We deliver events that inform our membership about issues (such as homelessness, family violence and economic insecurity) that affect women and families, work to build awareness and general support for our finalist non-profits and provide members with opportunities to develop skills/knowledge within the philanthropic sector through MWF management experience. Membership is open to anyone 18 years and older. We have three membership categories: Next Gen (18-35 yrs old inclusive, $500 annual tax-deductible donation plus $65 non-tax deductible admin fee); Standard (36+ yrs old, $1,000 annual tax-deductible donation plus $132 non-tax deductible admin fee); and Life (one-off $25,000 tax-deductible donation, no admin fee). This page will provide updates on our events and what we are learning as we travel together on our giving journey.

The Bass Coast Community Foundation (BCCF) is a philanthropic organisation providing a vehicle for individuals to donate their own money to a managed trust account, decide what charity or community projects to support, and we make grants that have a greater social impact, in perpetuity. BCCF is a local charitable organisation, independent of religious or political persuasion established in 2002 in response to a growing need for a sustainable source of funds for community projects. The BCCF operates exclusively within the boundaries of the Bass Coast Shire and is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. The BCCF serves three key functions in this area: * To act as a vehicle for philanthropy (donor program) * To act as a local grant maker (giving program) * To act as a community leader (community reference point) Each year the BCCF is obliged under Federal Tax laws to distribute a minimum of 4% of the capital back into the community. The BCCF has a history of supplementing this amount with funds sourced from external Trusts and Foundations. Since 2002 the BCCF has raised over $1,000,000 (kept in an interest-bearing Trust Account in perpetuity) and distributed over $1,000,000 (from income earned and sourced funds) to community projects, organisations and individuals that build a better Bass Coast. BCCF is a registered charity.
