Aomen.tv was established in 2007 as Macau’s first and only online video website producing and distributing original editorial content in English and Mandarin Chinese featuring what's on, when and where in the entertainment capital of Asia. In 2008 the brand was incorporated into the Ignite Media Group, where it enjoyed popular success as the premium content provider of Mandarin language entertainment news. From 2016 to 2017, Aomen.tv experienced a brief hiatus from public view while various companies under the Ignite Media Group were sold. Negotiations for the purchase of Aomen.tv continued until 2018 when one the co-founders successfully negotiated for full control under new ownership with new partners registered under the name AomenHQ Ltd. Aomen.tv plans to re-launch in the Q4 of 2018 with a focus on building its content and viewership on the Chinese online platforms WeChat and Weibo.
