Analac Information

We are the National Dairy Farmers Association - Analac. Since 1956 we are the union that represents the interests of Colombian milk producers. We take part in discussions and work processes with the government and national instances in which public policies are established and investments for our sector are defined. Analac is made up of independent milk producers and producer groups represented through local, regional, and national dairy breed associations, cooperatives, and federations. Our board of directors is led by producers who work day by day in the production of milk and know the challenges and opportunities of our sector. Analac's work Analac has various responsibilities that have been entrusted by dairy farmers across the country over time. Among them are the following: 1. Facilitate and manage the communication between producers and the government. By doing so, we have been able to work on providing valuable tools and proposals as inputs to define the regulations that apply in our sector, propose and motivate the investment of public resources to move ahead in our national dairy policy, among others. 2. Represent producers in the National Dairy Council, an instance in which the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is advised in the definition of sectoral public policy and in the creation and adaptation of programs to strengthen our value chain's sustainable development. 3. Participate purposefully and technically in the boards of directors of the National Livestock Fund and the Milk and Meat Price Stabilization Fund. 4. Promote different spaces for the discussion, planning and co-creation of regional and national actions among producers. 5. Connect producers with different offers, programs and opportunities that public and private entities generate for our value chain.
