Amigo Loans started with a simple goal - let’s help people with the finance they need when they can’t get help elsewhere. Sounds a bit naive, right? But since those early days, sitting around the kitchen table dreaming of the impossible, we’ve come pretty far. Here’s how it happened. In 2005, we were just another entrepreneur-led startup going by the name of FLM. Then in 2012, we went through something of a rebranding and came out as Amigo Loans. Skip forward a few more years and by 2019, we’re a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulated PLC and the largest guarantor lender in the UK. Our success is down to two things. The first is our product. We offer straight-forward guarantor loans, free of the stress and hassle of modern-day borrowing. As long as we’re confident we’re doing the responsible thing for our customers, we don’t think a credit score should define people. We’re all about creating opportunities. And the second reason Amigo Loans have come so far? Our team of incredible people. We’ve always been a close-knit community that believes in human values. We only have one office, all on one open-plan floor, with no closed doors. Everyone knows everyone, and anyone can speak to anyone at any time. Our work-environment is competitive, driven and sometimes pressured. It’s also growing. That means we need more amazing people to join us and live our values.
