Al Bidda Switchgear Company, a member of Al Bidda Group, was founded in 2013 by H.E. Sheikh Suhaim Abdulaziz Al Thani. The factory located over a sprawling 15,000 Sq. mtr area in New Industrial Area, Doha, started operations in 2015. The Company’s plant is Qatar’s largest first-class facility in the manufacture of total electrical switchgear, general sheet steel Engineering/fabrication and powder coating services. The Company is sharing LV & MV technology from world renowned switchgear manufacturer NATUS GmbH & Co. Germany that has been a key provider of integrated electro-technical solutions, setting the standard in innovation, safety and quality for switchgear systems. The Company provides products and services to projects and industry sectors both locally and internationally, like Oil & Gas, Qatar Rail, Stadiums, New Port and Commercial Infrastructure. ABS has completed landmark project of supply of LV switchgear to Qatar Rail for all the four lines of Phase 1 of Doha Metro Project in 2018. The Company is manufacturing : • Switchgear: Medium and Low Voltage products including MV switchboards, LV main distribution boards, LV motor control centers, LV sub-distribution board, motor starters, feeder and distribution pillars and PF correction panels • Sheet steel fabrication: IT and communications cabinets, shelters and custom designs, parts and structures, general enclosures, mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel products and parts • Powder coating for: parts & components manufacturers, steel products manufacturers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), architecture & construction sectors, oil & gas sector. Al Bidda Switchgear has been ranked # 1 SME in Qatar and awarded with TOP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 2018 organized by Qatar Development Bank in coordination with Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
