AKWA Surf Information

AKWA surf is the dream of two young surfing families - Kurt & Alicia Nyholm, and Matt & Emma Bryant. Matt & Kurt are mates who ended up brothers in law after marrying sisters Emma & Alicia. Kurt is a retired pro surfer who also spent many years at the helm of iconic surf hardware label, Ocean & Earth's sales. Matt is a chartered accountant who loves surfing so much he packed up his calculator for AKWA. The two sisters Emma & Alicia are just awesome - running the shop as well as looking after the kids - Seth, Eli, Lucas, Freya, Reef and Poppi. Milton is such a cool place to stop for a bite to eat, a nice cuppa and a cruise around all the boutique shops. AKWA is one of the jewels amongst this incredibly trendy town, and we are stoked to be part of it! AKWA strives to be a little different from the average surf store. We stock fashion labels such as Lee, Stussy, One teaspoon, Seafolly, Baku, Afends, The People VS, Wrangler, Valley and much more, Boards by the best in the business - Channel Islands (Al Merrick), JS, Chilli's, Haydens, DHD, LOST, JS, Simon Anderson, Emery, Dylan Perese, Mick Mackie, Terry Glass, Kirk Bierke, ... the list goes on. We are located in a trendy old heritage listed building in Milton. Over 280 Squares double story with the best views anywher - the fitout was all from recycled materials lying around out the back and in paddocks around the area - check out the photos - or better still come in and see for yourself.
