Akoben House is an independent, Afrikan centered publishing company. Founded in 2000 by Mwalimu K. Bomani and Yaa Mawusi Baruti, it is dedicated to the dissemination of consciousness raising writings. It was expressly created to help facilitate the empowerment of all Afrikan people through an intelligent contribution to the knowledge base that serious NationBuilding and ReAfrikanization efforts demand. It is dedicated to the contemporary literate expression of Afrikan tradition as exemplified in the wisdom and way of our ancestors. The Adinkra symbol Akoben ("the war horn") was chosen to symbolize this effort because it calls all Afrikan warrior scholars to deeply arm their minds against all who would obstruct or arrest our righteous struggle to be Afrikan. Akoben House is uncompromisingly committed to the mind of the new vanguard of the oldest way. We remember our ancestors.
