AjTyvIT Information

Aj Ty v IT supports girls in choosing careers in informatics and technology. Girls and women are underrepresented in science and technology, worldwide and in Slovakia either. Efforts to generate interest amongst girls needs to start at an early stage. Aj Ty v IT works with high-school girls and through workshops, discussions and meetings motivate them for choosing career in IT sector. New workshops are prepared for "older" women with main aim to provide them knowledge in IT which can help them find a new job. Faculty of informatics and Information Technology Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, who initiated this project, had 3% of girls students in 2012. In these days, there are 10 % of girls students. AJ Ty v IT works in whole Slovakia and supports all IT faculties of Slovak universities.
