AFL NSW/ACT is committed to growing the game within our diverse communities. Several programs have been developed for schools with a high portion of students from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds (NESB). The primary and high school programs are listed below:PRIMARY SCHOOL PROGRAM - Multicultural School Program (MSP)The MSP aims to engage primary schools with 70% or more students from NESB across the state. The six week program runs all year round and focuses on football activities which build on the child's fine and gross motor skills. The program also incorporates themes around fair play, team work, harmony and leadership. Delivered by AFL staff who are culturally sensitive and aware, this program is about breaking down barriers and giving students from NESB the opportunities to participate and support Australian Football. The program is offered to primary schools at a subsidised rate and includes a football for each student.
