Between 2001 and 2009 Active Voice operated independently, and in March, 2009 Active Voice became a division of NEC Infrontia, Inc. Active Voice provides unified telecommunication applications for NEC PBX equipment. This includes e-mail, voice mail, and hospitality applications. Both e-mail and voice mail can be read/heard using a phone or an e-mail application.
