Annes journey to Palmer covers several continents. Born in Nairobi Kenya she completed a BA in Biology in Indiana and then a BSc in Physical Therapy from a university in Aberdeen, Scotland. She started her work experience in Perth, Western Australia and has finally settled in Alaska. Orthopedic Physical Therapy is her passion and following an Orthopedic residency she became board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists . To complement her interest in feet she completed a Pedorthist certification and to support her exercise prescription background she completed a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification. Kate Arnold is a successful transplant to Alaska from her small town home in Wisconsin. Raised a solid Green Bay Packer fan, she has recently shifted her focus to Mountain Climbing, Running and Cycling. She met her husband in 2009 during a Wild Land Firefighter training course in Vail, CO where she had been working as a Snowboard Safety Patroller for 5 years. In the summer of 2010 Kate and her husband moved to Kauai, HI to pursue their love for the ocean and to compete as an outrigger canoe racer. In 2011 they relocated to Alaska to further their experience in Glacier travel, Mountaineering and Mountain Running. She has since raced in many Alaskan races including six marathons and her first full Marathon in 2014. She has also competed in her first 100mile century ride and is now training to compete in the 2015 Ironman New Zealand. She loves the Outdoors, being motivated by others and working hard to become the best athlete she can be. Lance Arnold is a long time athlete who got his early start in high school track and football then continued with college rugby while attending Lake Superior State University for Fire Science Technology.
