ActivAdmin provides a cloud-based learning solution focused on providing a skills development platform for 1st level administrators of building control systems. Millions of these unheralded administrators oversee the software that controls such building systems for access control, video surveillance, climate controls, audio-visual, elevator dispatch, VOIP and specialty systems in healthcare, logistics, etc. Typically, these systems are installed by tens of thousands of value-added resellers (“VARs”) (a.k.a. System Integrators) that are configured specifically for the building occupants and their needs and practices. Then events like changes in staffing and work hours, as well as tenant improvements, occur frequently, and 1st level administrators of these systems require skills to make changes to the enterprise application software that controls the system. The combination of more than 30% annual turnover among such administrators and some tasks being either infrequent or complex, often requires skills that are not readily available.
