The Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) is dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of all Australians. We take a unique multicultural approach to mental health advocacy, awareness, education, support, research, and resilience-building initiatives. Guided by compassion, collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based practice, we work to reduce stigma, empower individuals, and build inclusive, mentally healthy communities. MHFA delivers vital, accessible services to those who need them most. Our Wellness Hub Clinic provides more than 2,000 psychological sessions each year at just $30 per session or free for those experiencing financial distress. In addition, our 34 long-running support groups assist over 3,000 people annually and have done so for more than 30 years, always at no cost to participants. We are deeply grateful to our supporters, volunteers, interns, and dedicated staff whose commitment ensures our programs continue to grow and reach the community. Every dollar we receive goes directly toward supporting mental health initiatives. At The Mind Room we help people live their lives with meaning and vitality. We work with people across the spectrum of mental health – from those experiencing stress or illness to elite performers aiming to realise their potential. We integrate the best science and applied knowledge from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuroscience, positive psychology and mindfulness. We have a diverse team of experienced psychologists who are experienced in clinical psychology, sports psychology, coaching psychology, industrial / organisational psychology and forensic psychology who all share the same passion for improving our clients' quality of life through positive psychology.
