HISTORY Established in 1965 by the current president of the Board of Directors, Arlindo Augusto Xavier Correia, the company consolidated its activity in the Civil Construction and Public Works sector and, after two decades, the company Arlindo Correia & Filhos, Lda was established. In 1998, the company changed its name from Arlindo Correia & Filhos, Lda to its current name Arlindo Correia & Filhos, SA. Headquartered in Braga – in the Parque Industrial de Celeirós – ACF does business throughout Portugal. It has a subsidiary company in Lisbon and has been present in the Island of Madeira since 1997, where it opened a branch office thanks to the growth that was consolidated by the increase of projects developed over a decade ago. The company Arlindo Correia & Filhos Engenharia Lda. was recently established, with head office on the Island of Madeira. The focus on internationalisation was carried out in 2007, with the entry into the Angolan market where the Group is consolidated with the AC ANGOLA company (established in 2007), already with a considerable turnover, and has the support of TRABALHÁFRICA – a company established in Portugal, in 2008, dedicated to Import and Export, to support the company’s activity in Angola. Registered in the Instituto da Construção e Imobiliário (Construction and Real Estate Institute) with the building permit no. 3041, ACF is a certified company according to the recognised standard NP EN ISO 9001: 2000, in the scope of “Civil Engineering and Construction and Production and Sale of Ready-mixed Concrete”. In fact, the entry into the Public Works market approximately two decades ago was an important landmark in ACF's growth. With its core business in construction and remodelling of buildings, the company possesses a vast know-how that has been developed for more than 44 years and a portfolio which includes a much diversified range of construction projects in Courts, City Halls, Schools, Museums, among other public buildings.
