A Better LA (ABLA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2003 by Pete Carroll and Lou Tice. ABLA’s mission is to create a sustainable and comprehensive model for reducing violence and strengthening inner-cities. ABLA is comprised of local leaders from the private, nonprofit, social service, faith-based, education and law enforcement sectors who are committed to supporting Los Angeles communities in their goal to reduce violence by empowering change.
