Hello, we’re Giant Ant.
A creative studio, a design shop, an animation house. A diverse & tight-knit team from all over the globe.
For 12 years, we’ve worked hard to cultivate the very best talent in the industry and, together, craft meaningful and creative work.
We know that people don’t remember what you tell them, but how you make them feel. We know that everything we put in the world is a statement of our taste. We know that love is always the secret ingredient.
Studio 21 Fine Art is the most significant commercial gallery dealing in contemporary fine art in Atlantic Canada. The gallery was established in 1983 and since then has been exhibiting and selling the work of outstanding Canadian contemporary (that is, current not historic) artists, providing artwork to private and corporate collectors locally, nationally and internationally. Deborah Carver has been the Director of the gallery for 4.5 years, during which time the gallery moved into a newly constructed, modern space. Studio 21 holds a reputation of highest quality and professionalism across Canada. The gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada.
Studio 21 represents more than 50 artists, of whom 30% are Nova Scotian, half are Atlantic Canadian and half are from the rest of the country, and the US. The media in which they work includes painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramic, glass, stone and metal.
Outside of our gallery space in Halifax, Studio 21 also exhibits regularly at art fairs in the US and Canada, including Art Toronto, Papier (Montreal) and SOFA Chicago.
