4Louis Information

4Louis is a UK bereavement charity supporting families following miscarriage, TFMR, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child. We work with hospitals and healthcare professionals across the UK to help improve bereavement care and ensure families are offered compassionate, meaningful support at an incredibly difficult time. Our work includes providing Memory Boxes and specialist hospital bereavement resources such as CuddleCots, CuddleBlankets, Privacy Prams and Burial Beds, alongside support for bereavement environments, education and awareness. We also create opportunities for connection and peer support through initiatives including Siblings of Stars, Bereaved Dads’ Brotherhood and 4Louis FC. Volunteers, fundraisers, corporate partners and supporters are an important part of helping us continue this work across the UK. Everything we offer is family-led and provided as a choice never an expectation. Supporting families. Supporting healthcare professionals We provide memory boxes filled with keepsakes and mementos to help families create lasting memories of their loved one. We also provide useful tools, equipment, and training free of charge to hospital units, hospices, and other professionals who work with grieving families. We understand that every family's journey is unique, and we strive to improve the services given to families who have lost a baby or child. We want to make sure that no family has to go through this alone. 4Louis was founded by Louis’ family in 2009 who found that there was very little access to support and memory making following Louis been stillborn at 38weeks gestation. Since then 4Louis has grown, but parents who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, baby or child death are still at the core of everything we do. Thanks to the hard work of our supporters we are able to ensure our services are available to a wide range of hospital trusts, hospices and any professional who may deal with miscarriages, baby or child deaths.
