3D Walkabout Information

3D Walkabout is an Australian 3D technology company delivering 3D rendering, 3D scanning and extended reality solutions to clients nationwide. Our three core service areas are: 3D Rendering We create high-quality CGI images, animations and interactive walkthroughs for property, architecture, infrastructure, products and marketing. 3D Scanning We capture accurate real-world environments using a range of technologies, from Matterport and handheld scanners through to survey-grade terrestrial LiDAR, vehicle-mounted mobile mapping and drone capture. We use this data to produce point clouds, as-built surveys, CAD drawings, BIM models, digital twins and interactive virtual tours. With operators and scanning equipment available across Australia, we can deliver projects in metropolitan and regional locations nationwide—from individual sites to large, multi-site programs. XR Development We design and develop virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality applications, as well as interactive 3D web experiences and product configurators. Our work spans training, safety, education, property, marketing, simulation and operational use cases. We are also developing two new SaaS platforms: a VR safety-training platform for the resources, construction, energy and manufacturing sectors, and a platform for storing, managing and visualising 3D scanning data. Our team has grown to more than 40 people, combining an Australia-based management and delivery team with specialist production resources in the Philippines. Together, we provide the technical capability and capacity to deliver everything from individual projects to complex national programs.
