In 2014, ZeroKaata was started with a dream – to build a multi-million dollar business. Gaurav Gambhir, our founder, had a mission: bridge the gap between the messy world of unorganized jewellery and the convenience of online shopping. We started as an online jewellery store, shining bright with a dazzling collection of fashion jewellery that was trendy and stylish. Then came the storm – the pandemic. It hit everyone hard, businesses were shutting down left, right, and centre and we weren't an exception. Sales plummeted, and we had to make some tough calls. To survive, we had to pivot. We said goodbye to jewellery and hello to lingerie and loungewear. We saw a gap: beautiful lingerie often lacked comfort. ZeroKaata's mission became clear - stunning designs that support, not compromise. And guess what? It worked! In the last 2 years, ZeroKaata has become one of the best-selling lingerie and loungewear brands on Myntra. We created a special line called "Curves by ZeroKaata" – an exclusive store for plus-size women, allowing women to embrace their beautiful bodies without any limitations. Looking back, ZeroKaata's story is one of resilience, constant learning, and a whole lot of "jugaad" – the good old Indian way of making things work! We're a bootstrapped startup, which means we've built everything ourselves, penny by penny. There's no fancy funding or crazy cash-burn here. We're a sustainable business, growing organically, and that's something we’re incredibly proud of. Gaurav's humility and frugal perspective have been instrumental in achieving the milestone of $2 million annual recurring revenue (ARR).
