At ZeroCarbonMA, we are leveraging local will to accelerate our path towards net zero. One of the biggest barriers to effective climate action is that authority and will are misaligned. We have discovered that many municipalities have the will to take big climate action, but their hands are tied by state regulations. That's where we come in. We believe that change begins at the local level. And it happens when a bunch of people get together and say yes to tackling problems we have the tools, and technologies, to actually solve. Nobody thought that a town in a cold weather climate would be at the forefront of electric construction, but we led with unity, bright ideas, and a belief that other municipalities would follow us. And we passed groundbreaking fossil fuel free legislation. Twice. ZeroCarbonMA is committed to creating bold and necessary legislation, while working in intense collaboration with municipalities to expand our reach. As the movement builds, we put pressure on the state to enact broader versions of the policies we’ve created. And that’s how we start mobilizing change.
