ZenMastering is a professional audio mastering facility providing the highest quality analog and digital audio mastering services to clients ranging from independent artists to established labels. Since opening ZenMastering in 2000, owner and audio engineer Paul Abbott has mastered music for hundreds of artists in over 31 states in America and 21 countries around the world. Notable clients include Mike Mills (bassist of R.E.M.) and James Sonefeld (drummer from Hootie & the Blowfish). In addition to being a respected international name in mastering, we are an integral part of our local music community. ZenMastering is proud to be the first-call mastering solution for San Diego's best producers, engineers, and studios; and each year many of our clients are nominated to the San Diego Music Awards. As an audio engineer, Paul Abbott has been a featured columnist in EQ, Tape Op and Sound on Sound magazines, and was spotlighted in Music Connection’s prestigious "Masters of Mastering" series. He has also been a voting member of the Audio Engineering Society since 2003.
