What if your EV could lower your electricity bill, not just increase it. Zenion is a technology company from Gothenburg, Sweden, developing and manufacturing charging infrastructure for the energy system of tomorrow. We focus on bidirectional charging, enabling EVs to not only consume energy, but also store it and deliver it back to the home, building or grid. Our charging system consists of two parts. Arc, a bidirectional DC charger for V2X (vehicle-to-everything), and Numiz, our energy management platform that optimizes every charging cycle based on electricity prices, grid tariffs, peak demand and the user’s needs. Numiz decides. Arc delivers. At home, this enables V2H (vehicle-to-home). Energy is charged when electricity is cheap and stored in the EV battery until it is needed. Numiz can also manage household peak demand, helping reduce grid costs. With solar panels, surplus energy can be stored in the car and used later in the afternoon/evening, when electricity prices and household consumption are typically higher. In housing associations, workplaces and public facilities, parked EVs become a shared energy resource through V2B (vehicle-to-building). Intelligent load balancing allows more EVs to charge on the same grid connection, while each charging session is measured and billed to the correct user. The building can also use stored energy for peak shaving and electricity price optimization, reducing energy costs and making better use of existing grid capacity. When multiple vehicles are coordinated, they can become a flexible energy resource for the grid through V2G (vehicle-to-grid). Arc is designed to support grid services such as FFR, FCR-D and FCR-N, allowing EVs to contribute to a more flexible and stable energy system while creating new value for their owners.
