Afrika Tikkun is not just a business. We are a people. We are a community. We are a movement for change and transformation. Our vision is to enable young people to become socially and economically empowered. This vision is underpinned by the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to become the best they can be. For 30 years, we have enriched the lives of children and young people using sustainable programmes implemented through our holistic Cradle-to-Career 360° model. Our programmes are carried out nationally and aim to reduce youth unemployment, break generational poverty and create an equal society. Our 30 years of service within the communities we serve are underpinned by impact, empowerment and transformation.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation is a non-profit organisation focused on memory, dialogue and legacy work, founded by Nelson Mandela in 1999. We are the custodian of his life and times; we are a committed facilitator of his living legacy; and we are mandated to promote his lifelong vision of freedom and equality for all.

The Motsepe Foundation was founded in 1999 by Mr Patrice Motsepe and Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe. In 2013 the Motsepe family were the first on the African continent to join the Giving Pledge, started by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet. The Foundation was founded on the philosophy of ‘ubuntu’, the African concept of giving and caring for your neighbour and other members of your community. This selfless and compassionate quality is part of the age-old African culture and expresses the core value of humanity as goodness to our fellow men. The act of giving back has been and still is an integral part of our moral duty and collective responsibility. It is a concept that has held African families and communities together for generations, despite the continent’s many challenges. We are proud to pass it on to the next generation.
