ZEEtree develops UV-curable chemistry for decorative surfaces, with one focus above all: the Liquid Wear Layer (LWL) for SPC flooring. LWL replaces the PVC wear film with a liquid, UV-cured layer applied in line. In industrial use since 2021, it combines: - Thermoplasticity: reduced curling - Performance: 130 g/sqm for AC4, no backcoating needed - Clarity: the printed decor stays sharp and deep - Low odor and low yellowing - Label-free: no hazardous transport labeling required - Cost effective Texture is built directly into the wear layer, in register with the printed decor, with two proprietary technologies: - SCI (Selective Curing Inhibition), developed and patented in 2016, the first to use brushing to create sharp three-dimensionality in register with the design - CIT (Contact Imprinting Texturing), for differentiated gloss and depth control We have been working on digital texturing since 2014, and we formulate our UV inks and coatings in house, in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy.
