The platform allows food lovers and other food-related stakeholders like restaurants, specialized food and beverage vendors (e.g., grocery stores, wine merchants), chefs, bloggers, nutritionists, etc. to express themselves and to connect with and conduct commerce with each other. The food lovers and other stakeholders can use a variety of means for self-expression including reviewing restaurants, inputting recipes, having their own blogs, or creating their own food channels. The food lovers and other stakeholders can create their own ad-hoc or permanent interest groups based on food-related interests such as food allergies, nutrition and special diets, ethnic recipes, cooking methods (e.g., slow-cook). The platform allows these contents to be vetted, analyzed, and rated using analytics and other means.
