Zavee is a Web-based social loyalty application that provides merchant-funded rewards to members who shop at participating local merchants. Zavee supports reviews, recommendations, news and other content, all of which is integrated with social media. Combining content and rewards with social media increases the reach and effectiveness of local merchant marketing while facilitating customer relationships that result in long-term loyalty. Zavee uses a “registered card” model in which shoppers earn rewards by shopping with a credit or debit card that they have registered on Zavee’s secure Web site instead of a separate loyalty card, coupon or discount code. Shoppers also earn the right to direct a portion of Zavee’s fees to non-profit causes of their choice. Zavee runs on a secure, proprietary platform that manages all facets of the program for shoppers, merchants and causes. The platform supports multiple programs and can meet a wide range of operator requirements, including program-specific reward currencies and multiple currencies. Programs can be “open” (members earn rewards at all Zavee merchants) or “closed” (members earn rewards only at program-specific merchants). Programs may be Zavee-branded or white labeled. Zavee operates a branded program in South Florida and is aggressively marketing additional programs to banks, affinity groups and other operators.
