Zagafen Information

Zagafen is a unique kosher dairy restaurant developed and managed by Citron & Rose and Zavino Hospitality Group (ZHG). Zagafen (za=pizza, gafen=wine) is a pizza wine-bar concept modeled after ZHG's Zavino and Tredici restaurants. The menu items come from ZHG's menus, but the ingredients and facilities are completely kosher. Zagafen has a feature unique to even kosher restaurants, as it has two dairy kitchens: a standard (cholov stam) kitchen and a cholov yisroel kitchen. By having two kitchens on separate floors, two sets of dishes and utensils, and two rabbinical supervisors (mashgiachs), Zagafen can serve a broad menu to the greater kosher community and still serve menu items with strictly cholov yisroel ingredients to those who require it.
