Ypsicon is a technology-based company dedicated to the development of new technologies for the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, as well as to the design of components and equipment based on these innovative technologies. Ypsicon has developed and patented on a global basis three new technologies that offer a wide range of applications for the beverage industry, as well as for pharmaceutical and cosmetic products: UHPH (Sterilization and homogenization by means of continuous ultra-high pressure): UHPH simultaneously sterilizes and homogenizes beverages and other liquid foodstuffs, using continuous ultra-high pressure and a combination of physical forces at a valve, instead of using heat treatment. Due to the lack of thermal impact on products, UHPH delivers commercially sterile products with a long shelf-life at room temperature, while preserving their original organoleptic and nutritional properties. UV-Therm pasteurization: Combination of moderate thermal treatment and germicidal ultraviolet light. This new pasteurization method offers great advantages for heat-sensitive products, allowing important reductions of microbial counts using lower temperatures than conventional pasteurization. UV-C aseptic filling: New technology that uses ultraviolet light to sterilize PET, PP, HDPE and glass bottles, in order to aseptically fill liquid products. It eliminates the need for chemical products currently used by the industry, guaranteeing a 100% clean label aseptic filling process. All technologies developed and patented by Ypsicon go in the same direction: Providing solutions applicable on industrial-scale to obtain high value-added products, guaranteeing a long shelf-life and safety for human consumption, while at the same time preserving or even improving their original properties. Ypsicon’s technologies also deliver 100% natural products that do not require preservatives or additives.
