YPurchasing (YPG) is a YMCA member owned group purchasing co-operative that provides savings programs for its 130+ YMCA members. YPG leverages the collective member volume, knowledge and commitment spend of these members to create a competitive advantage in the marketplace by reducing costs and offering additional dollars to each member's bottom line. YPG's members represent 130 members with 3,100 + individual locations and additionally include 35 of the top 100 largest YMCA associations in the U.S. YPG provides contract negotiation, procurement and other services exclusively for its members. YPG has no conflicting profit motive because it distributes all earnings back to its members based on their level of participation after overhead cost are covered. Social Responsibility starts with fiscal responsibility, of which effective purchasing is a key component.
