Young People Ahead (YPA) Information

Mithangkaya Nguli - Young People Ahead Youth and Community Services Indigenous Corporation (MNYPA) is one of the longest operating community-controlled organisations located in Mount Isa, Kalkadoon Nation in North West Queensland. MNYPA supports children, young people and their families in need.   MNYPA presently has over 25 highly experienced professionals, who work from a strength based and holistic approach tailoring supports to individuals and family groups. Staff utilise strong cultural and traditional approaches to support people as they journey into making small steps towards a more positive and fulfilling future.  The Corporations’ culture is one of Team Work, Advocacy and Integrity. All MNYPA services are client focused and value collaboration with other organisations and government agencies to get the best outcomes for children, young people and their families. The Corporation is known as being Trustworthy, Safe, Respectful and a Change Agent and Key-Stone organisation in community.
