Discovery Early Learning Centres is a Tasmanian family owned and operated organisation with extensive experience in providing high quality education and care programs for children across Tasmania. Our services are located in the surrounding suburbs of Hobart, Launceston, Ulverstone and Burnie. We offer Long Day Care, Preschool programs and Outside School Hours Care including, Before School, After School and Vacation Care. We understand every family has different needs and, with this in mind, we offer care on a full time or part time basis. Occasional care and casual care is available where a vacancy exists. We are dedicated to providing high quality early education programs for children in a safe, secure, challenging and nurturing environment that is rich, flexible and encourages learning, curiosity, creativity and exploration. City Kids promotes a sustainable environment through a range of initiatives and our educational programs. In 2014 we were involved in the Seedlings Early Years Education for Sustainability Pilot. This pilot project was a government initiative to assist Early Childhood Professionals and Managers to meet the requirements of the VEYLF and NEYLF (Victorian and National Learning Frameworks). As a service we strive to embed sustainability into our educational program so that it becomes a natural part of children's lives. Kiddie Academy is a privately owned and operated Child Care Centre and Preschool centrally located in Alexandria. Our child care centre caters to children aged six weeks to six years and is open from 7:30am - 6:00pm on week days. Recognising that parents are the first educators of their children, we will aim to extend children's development by being co-educators in partnership with parents.
