The York ASD Partnership, a collaborative of over 20 York Region organizations, is improving the system of supports for people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families in York Region. The model of systems change being developed by the York ASD Partnership is unique in Canada and the focus of interest by the provincial government and other regions in Ontario and across Canada. For years, families have had difficulties accessing services and struggled with the lack of coordination and miscommunication amongst service providers. After several years of planning, the York ASD Partnership is launching its new coordinated access system on April 2, 2013. To view the announcement click here.
