Yeshurun Hebrew Congregation Information

Yeshurun Hebrew Congregation is a vibrant Modern Orthodox and Zionist orientated community for South Manchester Jewry, based in Cheadle. Established in the mid 1960's, the synagogue rapidly attracted a growing membership with its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, strongly inclusive approach to a wide spectrum of Modern Orthodox belief, and egalitarian ethos. These principles continue to guide us today, and the congregation maintains an extensive range of activities to support all aspects of Jewish life - not just a synagogue, but an active community where lifelong friendships are made. In addition to regular daily prayer services, we have pioneered prayer services for women and there are organised activities for children. With Kosher Deli, Kosher Butcher and a highly successful Jewish Primary School nearby, and many other community support organisations established in the locality, our members have access to a wide range of facilities, whatever their interests. Cheadle itself is an attractive part of the South Manchester region in which to settle, with its excellent transport links, and a good choice of housing to suit all needs.
