YBSL Information

Youth Business Sri Lanka provides over all holistic support to youth to start up own business as a means of improving their livelihoods and as an avenue to engage in the main stream development activities through networking and social inclusion. An integral component of the assistance is the engagement of a volunteer business mentor to support the young entrepreneurs in business decisions through mentoring. YBSL builds on the success being guided by the operational principles of Youth Business International (YBI) in UK, a charity under the Prince of Wales. YBI network has 40 countries and YBSL received its international accreditation in 2009. Youth Business Sri Lanka’s (YBSL) Mentor Programme is designed as a strategy to meet the challenges of today’s volatile business world. The programme gives importance to engage young entrepreneurs and leaders both intellectually and emotionally by creating an innovative culture with collective level of ownership in their organizations. YBSL has created International award winning entrepreneurs where Best Entrepreneurs award was won in 2010 and Best startup entrepreneur award was won on 2013, as well getting the second places in 2012,2013 and 2016 under the Best entrepreneur’s awards competing with 40 countries. YBSL is the first ever organization produce a successful entrepreneur to win the International runners up award from the Northern part of Sri Lanka Jaffna.
