Yatoto is a social network to encourage and support volunteerism, charitable organizations and personal development. Yatoto connects volunteers and donors to each other and to the organizations that depend on them. Yatoto incentivizes community service through a new, innovative, platform. Users engage with the Yatoto platform to manage and build their volunteering profile, to find local volunteering opportunities, and to generate interest within their community for organizations and events that are important to them. As they engage within the site, users receive Yatos (a new digital currency) for actions such as viewing advertising and educational materials, completing surveys, and volunteering. The currency is allocated by users to projects on the site, and each month, the projects with the most Yatos win a cash prize. Yatoto distributes the majority of its revenues back to the communities it serves. The company was started in Bulgaria in 2013 and has just launched in the US.
