XO Projects Information

XO Projects is a Melbourne-based architectural and urban design practice specialising in multi-residential and hospitality projects. The company was established when the two architecture companies met in 2013 – Elenberg Fraser from Melbourne and Elastik from Amsterdam. Two groups with sustained design and commercial credentials decided to combine forces to realise a locally and internationally relevant new practice. Founded in 2016, XO Projects is a studio with an international legacy, with active projects in Australia, Asia and Europe. Since its establishment, the office has focused on mixed-use projects, combining commercial, hospitality and residential developments, absorbing and directing strategic and economic expectations of all stakeholders involved. The ongoing projects include two hotels and an office building in Melbourne, a new resort hotel in Amsterdam, and a sizeable volume of multi-residential and commercial projects in China (over 450,000 sqm in total). XO Projects' working method synchronises with the clients' imperatives. The studio straddles research and a client-focused culture with a thoughtfully appointed design process and clear business goals. Our design process focuses on helping cities to compete within the realm of 'experience economy', which requires environments to stand out while making them attainable and fit for the post-carbon generation to come.
